Reception cards
Reception cards tell when and where the reception is to be held, and are included with the invitation; this card is always used when the guests invited to the reception differ from the guests invited to the ceremony (they may, of course, be sent to all guests). In lieu of a card, the words "Reception following" with the location, may be placed in the lower left corner of the invitation, or at the bottom of the invitation skipping a line after the address of the church.

The pleasure of your company
is requested at the
reception after the ceremony
The Grand Hotel
1212 North Sixth St.

Response Cards
If a response card is used, it should be stamped, addressed, and enclosed in the invitation.

Rain Cards
A rain card for an outdoor wedding/reception will save last minute calls to inform guests what to expect in the event of bad weather.

In the event of rain
the wedding and/or reception
will be held at
St. Paul's United Methodist Church
2345 Washington Road
Los Angeles, California
