Coping with the train during the reception

There are various ways to bustle a dress after the wedding, and most dresses can be bustled, using hooks and eyes, buttons or ribbons. Contact B&B Cloth Shop for suggestions and instructions.

Some brides prefer to carry a satin covered ring large enough to place the train in, and the ring is carried over the arm. The disadvantage to this is that you never have your arm free for hugging, dancing, eating, etc.

Ribbon loops
Some dresses come with loops inside the gown to be used for carrying the train. However, this method shows the underside of the gown and is rarely attractive. An alternative is to remove 2-3 stitches in the seam allowance where the loop is attached, and after the wedding pull the loop through to the outside, making the dress far more attractive.
