Weft thread is heavier than warp thread giving a finely ribbed, fabric with a dull luster. May be plain, printed, moire, or jacquard finish.

  • Polyester
    • Crisp fabric with smooth, shiny finish. Holds shape and does not easily wrinkle.
  • Acetate
    • Same as polyester, but wrinkles easily.
  • Iridescent
    • Crisp, heavy taffeta where weft and warp threads are different colors giving a changeable color appearance...ie. black/blue, orange/red, white/green, etc.
  • Silk
    • Same as polyester, but softer crispness.
